    Why is Field Work so necessary for BSW Students?

    BSW Fieldwork is an important part of the social work program. The students are expected to undergo a minimum of 12 hrs per week of practical fieldwork. The BSW students are evaluated on the basis of their midterm assessment, assignments, attendance, application of professional skills in the field and reflection. The faculty/fieldwork supervisors, both from the institutes and agency.

    Besides this, BSW course program intends to furnish the students with Report Writing, Individual Conference, Group Conference, Neighborhood Camp, Rural Camp, Urban Camp, Block Placement, guest sessions, field visit, life skill training and so on. The BSW students will also have opportunities for internship and jobs and also work at many partner NGOs and INGOs of Samriddhi College.

    Entry Requirement at BSW College

    Candidates applying for admission program must have successfully completed the PCL or HSEB 10+2 in business/commerce, Science or any equivalent course from any board or university recognized by Tribhuvan University.

    Class Hours at Samriddhi College

    The classes for BSW will run from 6:30 am to 11:0 am (morning shift), Sunday to Friday.

    Examinations And Assessments

    The final examination for BSW will be conducted by the office of the Controller of Examination. However to qualify for the final examinations the students will need a minimum of 30% in aggregate in all internal assessments including class works, project works, class tests & term examinations.

    Admission Criteria to Join BSW College

    A candidate who has completed the 12 years of Schooling can apply for admission. A student must have +2 result equivalent to the D+ marks in every subject. The college will conduct the interview and select the candidate for admission.
